Motivation

I’ve been doing well with working out regularly and eating better. I have been trying not to weigh myself every day but I did start off March by weighing in every morning and hated seeing no or little progress. So now I’m trying to stick to a weekly weigh in instead. I can see little progress here and there, with lifting more and fitting into some things a little better. But we still have work to do.

We booked an all inclusive trip to Cancun a few weeks ago and while that alone has been motivating enough to try and lose weight, my brothers girlfriend has been pushing herself to workout. We all want to look and feel great on this trip and I refuse to be “the fat one.” I’m not sure if this is positive or negative reinforcement, but it’s working to keep me moving each day. I had to take a week off these past few days because I was really sick, but now I’m better and back to my routine.

I’ve been impressed with how much weight I can lift these days and I know the years I spent weightlifting are still helping. Now I just have plenty of fat to lose.

I readjusted my calories this weekend as well, and I can eat a little more but am working on bringing my protein intake up. I’m more aware of how much protein I’m consuming and know I can eat a little more. 

Looking forward to sharing more updates soon. I think I’ll have more good news to share because I don’t see myself giving up any time soon.
